Description and Requirements Primary Responsibilities: Lead and conduct UX research across a wide range of website UIs, customer types, platforms, and product informationProvide efficient, timely execution of research projects, using a wide range of tools and both qualitative and quantitative methodsDevelop research plans, methodologies, and protocols to address key product questions and business goals within the e-commerce spacePerform competitive analysis, benchmarking, contextual inquiry and other types of usability testsContribute UI ideas that simplify and enhance the online experienceAnalyze qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods data to identify patterns, insights, and trends specific to e-commerce user behaviorSynthesize research findings into clear, concise, and actionable recommendations that enhance the e-commerce user experiencePresent research findings to stakeholders through reports, presentations, and workshops, with a focus on e-commerce insightsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize research efforts and align them with e-commerce business objectivesQualifications 5-8 years of experience in user experience research or social science research, with a proven track record of delivering research findings with impactful ROIExpertise in experimental design and statistics; equally comfortable with qualitative and quantitative dataDemonstrated expertise triangulating multiple research and data collection methodsExpert-level experience with usability testing platforms and research tools such as usertesting.com, survey platforms, session-recording tools, site intercepts, SAS, SPSS, R, or similarExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to diverse audiencesPassion for user-centered design and a deep empathy for e-commerce users.Deep understanding of and practice applying the principles of good web and UI designExperience with web analytics tools; Quantum Metrics specifically is a plusAdaptability to shifting priorities, demands and timelinesPossess a positive attitude and ability to work in a collaborative and energetic team environmentAbility to accommodate flexible working hours to support global business operationsEducationExperience • Masters degree in a Social Science or HCI, e.g., Cognitive or Social Psychology, Anthropology or related social science field is required. PhD preferred.
