Consultora en IA and Machine Learning AnalystThe World Food Programme is the worlds largest humanitarian organization saving lives in emergencies and using food assistance to build a pathway to peace, stability and prosperity, for people recovering from conflict, disaster and the impact of climate change. WFP works in over 120 countries and territories to bring life-saving food to people displaced by conflict and made destitute by disasters, and help individuals and communities find life-changing solutions to the multiple challenges they face in building better futures. Within this framework, WFP has prioritized its work in the Latin American and Caribbean region, with greater emphasis on strengthening national emergency preparedness capacities and strengthening national and local capacities. ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXTWFP has been working in the Dominican Republic since 1969 supporting the country in achieving Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 2 – Zero Hunger through technical assistance for national capacity building and the development of strategies that contribute to healthy, nutritious and sufficient food, as well as building resilience of the most vulnerable population JOB PURPOSEThe Dominican Republic, due to its geographical location in the Caribbean region and conditions inherent to its geomorphology, is exposed to a series of threats that have their origin in the dynamics of nature and others produced by the intervention of the hand of man, which puts a significant part of the population at great risk. We are seeking to fill a consultancy position of Crisis and Emergency Response Analyst as focal point for Dominican Republic CO, covering AIMLadvanced analytics projects with global impact. We understand the potential that technology offers to achieve our objectives and through our corporate vision and frameworks we are also committed to building solutions that can be replicated elsewhere. Under overall guidance of CO management team, the candidate will be expected to prototype advanced analyticsAIML solutions with the aim of supporting commitment with government and emergencies support from face social and civil protection. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)Identify opportunities and create solutions associated with the needs of the social protection and civil protection sectors.Enhance existing BIMLIA technology solutions and support commitments to our partners.Build, support andor coach AIML project teams during ideation & product designAdvise and support teams on key decisions regarding product features and technology optionsProvide project & product management support, including supporting the development of technological solutionsProvide analysis and content preparation (powerpoint presentations, dashboards, briefs, etc.) for AI and Machine Learning topics as related to active projects.Perform other duties as assigned.OTHER SPECIFIC JOB REQUIREMENTSComprehensive support delivered for the development and integration of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence into the delivery of services for government and humanitarian community during emergencies.Improve systems and materials outlining the coordination and service structure for MLAI UAV deployment and during humanitarian emergencies.Build prototyped systems and materials outlining the coordination and service structure for data collect and consolidation during humanitarian emergencies.Direct support from Information and Communications Management during training exercises that may be scheduled.STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEducation: University degree (Bachelors or Masters); a degree in mathematics, engineering, or computer science preferred.
