· Consulting, advising and working with a customer portfolio that is selling solutions into the Mining, Manufacturing, Defense and Security verticals.

An exciting opportunity now exists for a proven international Business Development Manager, who is passionate about coaching and guiding businesses and has experience in consulting andor selling Mining, Manufacturing Defence and Security solutions to join our Chile team. Our Chile team are responsible for working with a range of customers developing their business in Chile and Southern America.
What youll be doing - Tewhakamahere
As a Business Development Manager (BDM), you will join a team that is passionate about representing New Zealand in Chile and be responsible for coaching and guiding New Zealand businesses to commercial success in the Chile and Peru markets. This role will see you havea dedicated focus on growing customers in the Mining, Manufacturing, Defense and Security verticals as you will be responsible for supporting a portfolio of companies landing and expanding in the region. You will work with your customers to help develop and execute their business growth plan by using your keen business acumen and agility to leverage your existing commercial relationships to proactively support our customers already in or looking to enter market, with the aim of converting opportunities into value.
You will also provide insight on the realities of the market through expert market research and analysis, identifying and providing introductions to strategic relationships and potential in-market partners, helping develop new channels to market and identifying and building potential growth opportunities. You will also play a key role in evaluating the strengths, weaknesses and opportunities for our customers in comparison to their competitors, and then assist them in shaping and reshaping their strategies and business models to help them succeed. There will be many opportunities to work as part of our wider Latin America (LATAM) team, as you will be involved in projects that will see you work across and with different regional offices.
What youll need to be successful -OPukenga
You will have a solid understanding of the challenges of growing a successful international business in Chile in particular, as well as knowledge of other markets including Southern America and will know how to use your consulting skills to coach and advise your portfolio of customers to successfully navigate those challenges.
You will be highly versed in a range of trade and economic issues with solid experience across a variety of business disciplines such as business consulting, sales, marketing, account management, project management through multiple roles in your career. You will have well-developed knowledge of, and personal networks, in the Mining, heavy Manufacturing (contract manufacturing and near shoring focus) andor the Defense and Security verticals in Chile. Building new relationships and networks comes naturally to you and you will have well-developed listening, influencing and communication skill. You will have a growth mindset, \"can do\" attitude and be motivated to use initiative to do whatever it takes to problem solve and get things done for our clients. You will be action oriented whilst still being a superb team player.
You will have demonstrated a proven ability to turn market knowledge and data into insights that are actionable for our customers is key. As is the planning, time management and organisation skills that will be critical to your success in this busy and varied role.
Fluency in both English and Spanish, ideally with a tertiary business qualification and it would be advantageous if you have experience in project management.
Please note that travel will be required as part of this role.
