Senior Engineer - Tailings and Mine Waste (based in Chile)

Your future role as a Senior Engineer on our team

Yourrole will consist mainly of participating in and leading the design of various infrastructuresfor mining waste management, including tailings and waste rock storage areas aswell as water retention and drainage structures. The role also consists ofassembling and delivering civil engineering projects at different engineeringlevels, preliminary economic assessments (PEA), pre-feasibility studies (PFS), feasibilitystudies (FS) and detailed engineering. Youll need general knowledge aboutintegrating various components of a waste management infrastructure project:hydrotechnical, geotechnical and civil, including major earthworks. Youll beasked to propose solutions adapted to client needs for every stage of theproject cycle, from design and preliminary studies to construction.

Participatein study projects 
Designand lead projects that involve tailings and mine waste, hydrotechnical,geotechnical and various heavy civil infrastructures, preferably using Civil 3D. 
Helpprepare construction plans and specifications to deliver civil works. 
Helpprepare estimates, quantity take-offs, schedules, budgets, specifications andreports. 
Coordinatework with other infrastructure engineers and technicians as well as with otherengineering disciplines. 
Ensurequality control of work. 
Maintainfriendly, close relationships with clients and their representatives.

Overview of certifications andjob requirementsBachelorsdegree in Civil Engineering, or equivalent 
Atleast 10 years of relevant experience in tailings and mine waste,hydrotechnical, geotechnical and the design of various heavy civilinfrastructures 
Highlyexperienced in mine tailings and waste from design through to closure 
Highlydeveloped client management skills with strong understanding of the businessdevelopment challenges of a consulting services provider. 
Bilingual(English and Spanish), both spoken and written 
Abilityto draft technical documents in both languages 
Able totravel to mine sites 
Asset:Experience in monitoring, inspecting or supervising work sites.
