LHR Americas recruit people from around the world to work in Saudi Arabia.\nWho are we looking for?\n\nWe are looking for aPrincipal Engineer, Process Safety who consistently enhance the safety of plant operations by identifying all potential risks and ensure it is eliminated or mitigated.\nQualifications\n\nBachelor in Chemical Engineering.\n\n15 years experience minimum in the process safety field.\n\nQualified & certified as PHA (HAZOP) Leader.\n\nFamiliar with facility siting & LOPA assessment\nComprehensive knowledge of chemical process equipment and unit operations\nPractical and direct Process Safety program experience.\nExperience leading, facilitating and documenting hazardrisk assessments including Process Hazard Analyses using HAZOP methodology.\nStrong working knowledge of pressure safety design principles.\nDemonstrated ability to comprehend and use P&IDs, material balances, equipment and layout drawings, and specifications for complex chemical processes.\nProven communication and presentation skills; able to effectively promote ideas within the plant and across the organization\nCertification or formal training in Process Safety.\nExperience conducting MOC and PSSR reviews.\nExperience applying other technology focused PSM elements (PSI, etc.)\nExperience designingspecifying emergency relief systems and applying pressure safety regulations (ASME BPVC, API-520521).\nIn-depth knowledge of chemical process hazards (toxicity, reactivity, flammability, combustible dusts, etc.) and preventive measures (area classification, functional safety, etc.)\nExperience with quantitative risk assessment methods (e.g. LOPA)..\nExperience in Facility siting studies\nFamiliarity with process control and instrumentation systemsconcepts.\nInterpersonal skills (personal rapport and influence) necessary to coach staff and to work with internal groups and outside agencies engaged in process safety\n\nDuties and responsibilities\n\nLead and supervise Process Hazards Analyses (PHAs) and other risk assessments studies for new and existing processes.\nSupport the evaluation of pressure safety related hazards, recommend design solutions and verify implementation.\nProvide subject matter expertise in pressure safety independent system design. Support pressure safety policyprocedure development and execution, including PSI documentation.\nCategorize process safety events and facilitate or participate in incident investigations to determine root causes and corrective actions.\nParticipate in internal & external audits to ensure that PSM systems are maintained and followed.\nCollaborate with operations and engineering colleagues on the development and progression of capital projects. Conduct appropriate risk assessments and advise on the potential impacts of regulatory requirements.\nDevelop and maintain knowledge in standards such as NFPA, API, ASME with providing interpretation and guidance on requirements and best practices.\nSupport operations and engineering in proactively identifying and resolving process safety concerns.\nMonitor and support the execution of corrective actions and recommendations arising from PSM activities (PHA, MOC, RCA, etc.). Follow-up on action items assigned with timely completion.\nProvide guidance for the assessment and mitigation of process safety risks associated with materials that are not covered under the PSM regulation.\nTrack and report performance metrics by analyzing data from the sites PSM programs.\nParticipate in corporateglobal process safety initiatives including improvement teams and assessments.\nMaintain and assist in development of systems that ensure compliance with the technology-focused elements of the PSM standard (PSI, PHA, MOC, PSSR and Mechanical Integrity).\nSupport the implementation of newrevised process safety related procedures and standards.\nDevelop and provide process safety training that will enable colleagues to perform their assigned PSM-related duties.\n\nWhich are the benefits you will enjoy if you are selected for this job opening?\n\nThis company has the goal to create a team of co-workers who can develop professionally and personally to the fullest.\nThus, they are focused on offering them the best.
