Descripción del Puesto

The Field Engineer is to provide capable and effective field support to Jord clients and projects to ensure the reliable operation of equipment supplied andor serviced by Jord while working with minimal supervision. This includes installation, alignment, pre-commissioning, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, resolution of warranty & performance issues and optimisation of all equipment within Jords scope of service at a site level. This includes the training of end-user staff and determination of end-user quality improvements. This role will interface directly with Customers, the Aftermarket Sales Team, Spare Parts, Operations Project Managers, Engineering and various levels of Jord management in the execution of the required duties.\nDuties and Responsibilities:\nProvide on-site technical support, installation supervision and commissioning support for the equipment Jord supplies andor services.\nPerform hands-on, on-site, condition assessment, troubleshooting, service and repairs\nProvide technical support to external customers to effectively resolve customer issues\nProvide on-site training of end users or customer staff where required\nAvailability to travel regionally and internationally to fulfil the job position requirements\nEnsure customer satisfaction is maintained and escalate technical or customer issues to management as necessary\nDevelop and maintain servicesite activity information and reports in according with Jords standard procedures\nEnsure timely completion of all relevant documentation and paperwork required by the position and any specific assignments\nAssist in the development and review of technical or quality documentation\nProactively communicate continuous improvement feedback through lessons learnt to minimize future problems\nSupport the business to continually evaluate and improve equipment support solutions, sales channels and strategies\nInspect componentsequipment and support product development and Root Cause Analysis where applicable\nPresent Jord as a professional, capable, reliable and experienced service provider and maintain effective communications with the client during the assignment to ensure satisfaction and implement any necessary corrective action\nAdhere to all Jord and Customer OH&S, Quality and Environmental requirements\nComply with all Jord company policies and Integrated Management System (IMS) requirements\nUndertake training where required or determined as necessary by the Company\nRemain flexible to support other duties as reasonably required, either at site, in the region or at Jord offices or sites\nFor example:Business Development & Sales: Attend tradeshows and conferences, assist technical sales visits, reach out to existing Jords equipment installed base in the region, maintain contact with local vendors in the region\nProject Activity: Support existing projects in the region, visitsaudits workshops in the region,\nLaboratoryPilot Work: Support lab and pilot work in the region by installing, troubleshooting, commissioning equipment and ancillary components or coordinating test work and sampling.\n\nSkills and Experience:\nBachelors Degree or equivalent technical qualifications in mechanical engineering or related trade qualifications\nA minimum of six years experience as a Field Services Engineer familiar with process or industrial equipment or suitable similar position\nIntermediate level (min) English language, both written and spoken to effectively report, cooperate and communicate with English speaking colleagues.\nStrong communication skills in written and spoken Spanish and the ability to effectively work, cooperate and communicate with client and end users on site.\nStrong troubleshooting, problem solving skills with good technical aptitude\nDesire and capability to understand the details of Jords products and working processes and an enthusiasm to improve them\nThe ability to comprehend technical documentation and drawings\nIT Systems literate i.e., effective use of computer systems, in- house programs and MS Office suite of programs\nStrong troubleshooting skills and technical aptitude\nA high degree of mobility, preparedness to travel for extended periods and the ability to adapt to situations that can be stressful and natural environments that can exhibit extremes in temperature and conditions.\nA strong understanding of the relevant health and safety regulations\n\n#J-18808-Ljbffr
