Job Description - Transport and Logistics Manager, Chile (AUS0008DG) Transport and Logistics Manager, Chile - ( AUS0008DG ) Ausenco is a fast-growing company with big ideas . Our team in Chile is growing , we are currently recruiting for a Senior Project manager to join our Transport And Logistics Business line in the Chile office. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. Responsibilities: Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders. Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents. Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion. Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals. Draft and submit budget proposals, and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary. Determine and assess the need for additional staff andor consultants and make the appropriate recruitments if necessary during the project cycle. Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders. Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools. Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations. Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas. Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout the project life cycle. Conduct project post mortems and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements. Why Ausenco ? Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, including at least 5 years in the transport and logistics sector. Proven experience in simulation logistics, operations, or similar, ideally from the mining industry. Strong leadership, organizational, and multitasking skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience in advising C-suite executives and boards of directors of multi-billion dollar companies. Proven track record of saving clients significant capital, operating, and opportunity costs by optimizing global value chains. Experience in engaging diverse client stakeholders through empathy and use of function-specific language. Experience in enhancing objectivity, transparency, and rigour of clients decisions by introducing structured decision-making frameworks. Experience in innovating business intelligence services and championing its marketing. Proven track record of managing engineering project teams to plan and optimize multi-billion dollar organizations complex supply chains and business processes. Experience in guiding clients through decisions logically to increase their confidence and trust. Proven track record of delivering projects on schedule and under budget through disciplined tracking. Experience in engaging diverse groups of people, from junior staff to directors, VPs, and presidents. Experience in authoring client-focused reports with simple, supported, actionable recommendations. Experience in training professionals in data analysis, technical writing, and project management. Experience in developing a mutually-beneficial network in a matrix organization. Proven track record of securing significant new consulting business.
