Bachelors degree or equivalent practical experience. 3 years of experience in project or program management. Experience working in the telecommunications industry within metropolitanlong haul fiber network delivery and ISPOSP construction. Preferred qualifications: Experience with network planning and engineering. Experience with fibercolocation availability and scalability analysis. Experience working within the Latin American (LATAM) region. Experience in vendor management in the telecommunicationsnetwork industry. Understanding of the deployment of terrestrialsubsea long haul fiber-optic network infrastructure engineering design and construction projects. The Global Network Solutions team plans, acquires, and delivers the network infrastructure assets that connect Googles data centers to our users and Google Cloud customers. In this role, you will oversee the delivery life-cycle of fiber assets acquired from carrier infrastructure providers and help to ensure that all elements work together to deliver Google products and services. Behind everything our users see online is the architecture built by the Technology Infrastructure team to keep it running. From developing and maintaining our data centers to building the next generation of Google platforms, we make Googles product portfolio possible. Responsibilities Assist Upstream Planning and Acquisition teams in developing infrastructure requirements, priorities, and delivery date expectations. Manage the delivery of network infrastructure projects involving long-haul dark fiber, metro fiber, leased capacitycircuits, and inside plant fiber from inception through delivery. Serve as primary North America andor South America vendor contact, and escalate vendor management chains when delivery time lines are at risk. Lead initial and regular project status meetings while keeping downstream teams at Google aware of project and delivery statuses. Oversee all vendor handover documentation, test results, and technical drawings while working with vendors and Google staff to coordinatefacilitate record keeping and communication.
