In virtually every country in LAC, Micro, Small, and Medium Businesses (MSMEs) are the lifeblood of economic vitality. They represent ~90% of the workforce and ~55% of GDP. The Covid-19 pandemic only emphasized the importance of MSMEs to economic recovery and growth.

This segment is central to Mastercards growth strategy - not only because of their regional and global impact, but also because of the large role MSMEs play in the payments ecosystem as both payers and acceptors of electronic payments.

Mastercard is looking for a Director for Commercial Product Management to help drive our growth in both SmallMedium enterprises and oversee Large Corporations. This role will be key in leading the segment development through solution innovation, value proposition enhancements (core & via partnerships), distribution of Mastercard products and solutions via alternative distribution channels, and P&L optimization. The ideal candidate is passionate about the Commercial Products and Solutions segment, highly motivated, intellectually curious, analytical, and possesses an entrepreneurial mindset. This Director position will oversee Argentina, Chile, Peru, Uruguay, Paraguay and Bolivia markets.
Role
In this product management position the selected candidate will:
• Collaborate with Commercial B2B colleagues to help design and execute the MSME B2B strategy and implement B2B growth initiatives across LAC markets
• Execute against our strategy to capture incremental segment share and help secure market and clusters leadership
• Support Sales colleagues in customer-facing negotiations to help advance MSME objectives
• Lead the implementation of new product development initiatives, Product Line Strategy execution, and portfolio optimization activities in collaboration with D&S
• Analyze market trends, competition, and MSME lifecycle journeys to inform product and go-to-market strategies, driving product differentiation and innovation
• Identify partnership opportunities to drive value proposition improvements and new distribution channels
• Collaborate with cross functional stakeholders (e.g. O&T, Finance, Legal, Marketing, Market Development, C&I, D&SAdvisors, etc.) to deliver on role and business objectives (eg. portfolio growth, financial analysisP&L driver optimization, marketing & sales materials, product enhancements, etc.)
• Work with other divisional and country teams to ensure sales readiness and training by developing necessary sales enablement tools for MSME

The ideal candidate for this position should:

• Be passionate about empowering every business everywhere and the idea of democratizing access to powerful tools that help MSMEs thrive
• Have proven experience in engaging internal and external commercial and technical stakeholders to drive both solution development and adoption
• Have advanced experience in financial services andor payments with an understanding of competitive offerings, industry trends and profitability drivers
• MSME banking or MSME payment experience, international market knowledgeexperience a plus
• Have a keen understanding of competitive offerings, industry trends and go-to-market considerations; ability to translate that understanding into meaningful action and enhancements
• Have demonstrated ability to work across different functions; strong relationship management, influencing, presentationverbal and communication skills
• Be self-motivated, a self-starter and a quick learner with ability to work independently and manage different priorities; thrives in a fast-paced environment; readiness to take-on stretch goals
• Undergraduate degree required
• Fluency in Spanish and English is required.Corporate Security Responsibility
