Black & Veatch is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager (EM) to lead multi-discipline project execution and also manage our Latin America (LATAM) engineering and technician resources. The Engineering Manager is responsible for the technical planning and design on a wide array of projects. The ideal candidate will assume leadership responsibilities to manage the 30+ engineering and technician resources currently sitting in our LATAM region to meet resource demand for projects globally. The EM will be responsible for the development and execution of project scopes, budgets and schedules; serve as responsible charge on projects; mentor staff and identify developmental growth opportunities; develop strong relationships with clients and contractors; and support business development. The duties include development of technical memoranda, technical reports, feasibility studies, preliminary engineering design documents, and final design documents which include preparation of construction plans and specifications. The EM will typically lead and coordinate multi-discipline project teams across multiple offices. The EM also supports Bid and Construction phase services, including evaluation of construction bids, responding to contractor Requests for Information (RFIs), reviewing submittals, making site visits and inspections, and evaluating construction change documents. 
Key Responsibilities

Manage engineering and technician resources 
Provide leadership and technical mentoring and coaching 
Serve in a supervisory role and participate in career planning and learning and development. 
Provide technical leadership and supervise engineering staff for the planning, design and construction oversight of facility projects 
Assist the project manager in maintaining project schedules and budgets 
Assist the project manager in managing sub-consultants 
Under the direction of the project manager, interface directly with the clients on all technical aspects of the project including the management of change associated with project work scope, contract terms or any subcontract contracts 
Support business development through writing of technical approaches, scopes of work, and presentation to clients 
Ability to lead large multi-discipline teams and drive solutions to meet deliverables 
Ability and motivation to lead technically complex projects

Minimum Qualifications

Requires a bachelors degree in engineering from a recognized accredited program. Minimum of 11 years related work experience. Spanish & English Advanced
